CORAL erp on remote server    (overview)

      System requirement
  • Remote server
    • A dedicated machine for remote server
    • Windows XP with service pack 2
    • Processor 2.4 Ghz or higher
    • 512 MB RAM or higher
    • Broadband internet connection of 512 kbps
  • Client
    • Windows XP with service pack 2
    • Processor 2.4 Ghz or higher
    • 256 MB RAM or higher
    • Broadband internet connection of 512 kbps


      Software requirement
  • On remote server
    • XP unlimited (To make WinXP for multiuser)


      Configuring steps
  • On remote server
    • Install XP unlimited software which will make Windows XP to use more then one user at a time
    • Create user name with a password for each client user
    • Create CORALerp desktop shortcut, one for each user profile
    • Enable Remote assistance and add the use
  • Configuring Internet on remote server
    If direct internet is in this machine (if the machine is getting direct internet IP)
    • Need to put the remote assistance port i.e 3389 in the exception of Windows firewall
    • Need to open port 3389 for incoming and outgoing bits (both TCP and UDP)

    If the machine is getting internet connection through the shared internet connection from other machine
    • Need to put the remote assistance port i.e. 3389 in the exception of Windows firewall on main internet machine
    • Need to open port 3389 for incoming and outgoing bits (both TCP and UDP) on main internet server and need to redirect all the incoming bits on port 3389 on main internet machine to the remote server

    If the machine is getting connection through router or DSL modem internal dialer by a LAN wire
    • Need to put the remote assistance port i.e. 3389 in the exception of Windows firewall on router, internet gateway or DSL modem
    • Need to open port 3389 for incoming and outgoing bits(both TCP and UDP) on router, internet gateway or DSL modem and need to redirect all the incoming bits on port 3389 on router, internet gateway or DSL modem to the remote server
  • On client's end
    • Start remote assistance
  • Configuring internet on client's end

    • Need to open port 3389 for incoming and outgoing bits (both TCP and UDP) on router, internet gateway or DSL modem


      How to use
  • Connect internet on both server and client
  • Start Remote assistance and put the internet IP of remote server and click on connect
  • After getting connected put the username and password


      Accessing files between the local computer and the remote computer
  • How to use local drives on terminal or remote server
    • Open remote desktop connection
    • Type the computer name or the IP address of a terminal server or a computer that has remote desktop enabled.Click on Option
    • Click the Local Resources tab, select the Disk Drives check box, and then click Connect
      Click Start on the task bar of the remote computer, and then click My Computer, or double-click the My Computer icon on the desktop of the remote computer.
      Note:The drives on the remote server apear with the drives on your local computer.Your local drives appear as drive letter on ts client, where ts client is the name assigned to your ( local ) computer.
    • Locate the file that you want to copy, right-click the file and then click Copy
    • Locate the folder where you want to paste the file and then click Paste
