The Indian rupee is the official currency of India. The issuance of the currency is controlled by the Reserve Bank of India.

The modern rupee is subdivided into 100 paise (singular paisa). The coins have a nominal value of 5, 10, 20, 25 and 50 paise as well as 1, 2, 5 and 10 rupee. The banknotes are available in a nominal value of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 rupee.

In July 2010, the Indian Cabinet selected a new symbol for the Indian rupee (). It is derived from Devanagari (Ra) and looks like the Roman "R" without the stem.

  • Steps to undergo
    • Click and download the ACE Rupee setup file
    • Save the ACE Rupee setup file and click on it. Upon clicking, the font will automaticaly get installed.

      OR

    • Click and download the ACE Rupee font
    • Save the ACE Rupee font file in location - C:\Windows\Fonts.(Please refer the image below)



    • Once this font is downloaded the "$" sign becomes the new Rupee sign. That is "$" sign is the one above to number 4 on the top of the keyboard.(Please refer the image below)



    • Now open Word or Excel file. Select the font "ACE Rupee" and type in using the button "".(Please refer the image below)

  • Steps to undergo
    • Update your ACE 9.0.014 Dated 12th Aug 2010
    • Select your company
    • Soon you select the company it will ask as shown below.

    • Select YES. It will automatically insert the rupee symbol in all the SB*.DEF and will show as below. (Please refer the image below)



    • As Bill format has lot of space adjustments hence we are keeping the original copy of the changed DEF.
    • Now Go to Sale bill printing and take print of the Sale bill through your existing SB*.DEF (Please refer the image below)



    • Internaly it automatically changes the .DEF files as shown in the image (Please refer the image below)



    • Your final Accounts Report will also reflect the Rupee Symbol. (Please refer the image below)



    • Your Sale Bill will also reflect the Rupee Symbol.
