Enlist suppliers of different products ( or group of products )
Capture indents, in house demand for products and services, it is at par with Sales order ( from external customers) and Projected Sales ( Sales order from marketing department based on sales forecasts)
Send requests to suppliers to quote for products and services.
Capture details of quotations received from suppliers or service providers
- Sanction ( of Order, Indent, Projected sales ):
Sanction quantities of various requisitions ( sales order, indent or projected sales )
After obtaining quotations, purchase rate needs to be approved and intimated to suppliers / service providers.
Issue orders for procurement of goods or services mentioning place and date of delivery.
- Inter order stock transfer:
To transfer stock ear marked for a specific order to another order.
Capture details of goods received without affecting accounting, stock is affected, duty credit is optional.
Capture details of goods received affecting accounting. It can also be prepared with reference to an earlier GRN.
Capture details of import of goods.
Capture return of goods earlier purchased ( from GRN or Purchase Invoice )
- Goods sent for job working:
Capture details of materials sent for job working, specifying details of processed goods and processes (jobs) involved.
- Goods directly sent for job working:
Basically a purchase invoice, but delivery made at job worker's place.

To define (date wise) price and basis of assessable value for different statutory levies. Separate price list may be maintained for different locations, parties, party groups or a combination of them.
